I just love Radiohead.

After hearing this in a conversation with one of the regulars on my bus on my way home now, this article from Reuters online makes me love them even more. For more details on the purchase of their new album, you can check out their In Rainbows link here. It appears they are leaving it up to the fans to decide how much they want to pay for the new digital release of their next album.

In fact, I was wondering when this would happen on such a large scale. It seems that nowadays, there is no need for bands to be signed to any sort of label. I've been dreaming about this. Dreaming about a time in which the artist gets everything that is related to their art. It's about bloody time. No middle man.

On another recording note, I've signed up to take a course on recording fundamentals. I'm pretty excited about it because it means that I can just move a little closer to my musical aspirations. I've spent what seems like a lifetime to where I am now in that I had musical ability, and then moved as far away from that as I could and now have come full circle.

I think that music is SO important in life. It is a necessary part of being human and has probably existed as long as humanity has. It has, I believe, the ability to heal the soul.

Don't you agree?

Funny. I think the Radiohead website crashed. I wonder why...

I think it is really important to make music with family and friends and around the community. We've lost a lot of that, and many people think music is something you buy or download, rather than something you play. I'm a big supporter of home-made jam
